Since 1987, when The Egg & I first “hatched” on South College Avenue in Ft. Collins, these popular breakfast-lunch restaurants continually win “The Best Breakfast in Town” awards in locations across northern Colorado and Wyoming. Offering “eggceptional” meals in a bright, light, upbeat décor, The Egg & I promises great breakfast and lunches served from 6 AM until 2 PM daily (7 AM Sunday).

Gourmet coffee, fresh-squeezed juice, generous servings, and creative menu items all combine to make a meal at The Egg & I delicious and memorable. The moniker “The Egg & I” was borrowed from the 1945 novel by Betty MacDonald. This popular tale relocates two citified newlyweds to Washington state where they purchase a chicken farm and got much more than they bargained for, including Indians, bears, moonshiners, and unusual neighbors (including Ma and Pa Kettle who were introduced in this saga and later became cultural icons of their own). It’s a fun book lending a lighthearted restaurant its name.
