He started as a dishwasher for Keystone and learned the culinary arts through years of persistance and hard work. After countless long hours behind the stove chef Welch earned Colorado's coveted awards of chef of the year from C.H.L.A and C.M.C. He also won Zagats #1 rating in the state for 3 years in a row.
