The Association of Disabled American Golfers

''The Association of Disabled American Golfers (ADAG) is a member organization of individuals, associations, and other entities dedicated to enhancing full participation in the game of golf for persons with disabilities.''

The Association of Disabled American Golfers (ADAG) is an IRS-recognized, tax- exempt, not-for-profit 501 (C)(3) organization founded in July 1992 by Greg Jones, President. Its formation was a result of the recognition that an important segment of the golfing population was generally being ignored by the golf community. Golfers with disabilities have long been a part of the game. With the passage of The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), it was anticipated that more disabled individuals would enter or re-enter the game. A review of the major golf organizations in 1992 clearly indicated that they were not prepared to accept or successfully deal with this population. ADAG was formed to serve as the clearinghouse for information regarding golfers with disabilities and the golf community, and how to fully include them in the game.

Since 1992, ADAG has become the nation's leading organization in promoting the inclusion of golfers with all types of disabilities into the game and advising the major associations and individuals of the golf community of important issues. A fundamental tenant of ADAG in conducting its business has been advocacy for the game itself .

Cross-section of players and administrators of the game allows ADAG to
positively influence the game, while still preserving its tradition and integrity
