Lightner Creek Campground hosts thousands of families a season. They can accommodate everyone; from tenters to the largest 5th wheel or motor home. The paved county road which exits Hwy 160 is well maintained, making the 1 1/2 miles to the campground's location easily accessible for a variety of camping equipment. Being off the highway was one reason the owners chose the campground as home. The drive to get to downtown Durango and the railroad depot is about 5 miles or just over 10 minutes.
